Postdoctoral Position available in the Campanella Lab, The Royal Veterinary College, University of London

                                                     Molecular Mechanisms of Mitochondrial Autophagy/Mitophagy

A BBSRC Funded PostDoctoral Position (salary range between £32.4K and £36.2K per annum inclusive based on experience and CV) is now available within the laboratory of Dr. Michelangelo Campanella at the RVC Department of Comparative Biomedical Sciences and UCL Consortium for Mitochondrial Research.

The laboratory is well equipped, conveniently located in Central London, and proficient in approaches of molecular cell biology and imaging as well as in vitro pharmacology.

We are aiming to recruit a highly motivated scientist to progress the project focused on the molecular and pharmacological regulation of cell mitophagy in physiology and pathology with specific focus on the mitochondrial protein TSPO. Details of the project are available upon request.

The post is available immediately aiming to appoint at the earliest possible date by December the 1st 2016.

Applicants should have a background in Cell Biology, Imaging, Biochemistry or Molecular Biology. Know-how in mitochondrial biology and/or autophagy is preferable but not essential.

Details of our work can be found in the following manuscripts:
